Intern Helper · Terms of use

Last updated 4 November 2026

Agreement

These terms apply to your use of Intern Helper, published by Morris Nderitu Muturi ("we"). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

An educational tool, not medical advice

Intern Helper is a study and revision aid for clinical medicine students, graduates preparing for internship, and clinical officer interns. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Nothing in the app is medical advice or a substitute for national guidelines, your facility’s protocols, or the judgement of a qualified clinician. You are responsible for every clinical decision you make. Check every dose and decision against the current guideline and with a senior before acting on it.

Guidelines change. We work to keep the content accurate and cite our sources, but we don’t guarantee that it is complete, current or free of errors. Where the app and your current guideline disagree, follow the guideline, and please tell us so we can correct it.

No guarantee of results

The practice questions are written in the style of licensing and college examinations, but they aren’t official examination papers, and the app isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the Clinical Officers Council, the Kenya Medical Training College, the Ministry of Health or any examining body.

Using the app doesn’t guarantee any examination result, qualification, certification, licence or employment.

Accounts, plans and payments

You need an account to use a plan. Keep your password private; an account is for one person.

Plans are paid in Kenyan shillings by M-Pesa. Each payment buys a fixed period (a week, a month, or 2 years for Offline Premium); nothing renews or charges you automatically. Paying again adds time to the end of your current plan.

Offline Premium (KSh 6,500) includes 2 years of full online access and the offline app. You may download the latest version of the offline app at any time during those 2 years, and keep using the copies you downloaded afterwards.

Offline Premium renewal (KSh 4,500) adds another 2 years on the same terms. It is available only to accounts that have bought Offline Premium.

Refunds: if a payment was taken but your plan didn’t switch on, or you were charged twice, contact us and we will fix it or refund you. Because the content is available as soon as you pay, other payments are not refundable once a plan has started, except where Kenyan consumer law says otherwise.

Prices may change; a change never affects a plan you have already paid for.

Your personal offline copy

The offline app is licensed to you personally and carries your name. You may install it on your own devices. Sharing it, uploading it, or giving or selling copies to others isn’t allowed and may lead to your account being closed without refund.

Using the app properly

You may use the app for your own learning and teaching. Please don’t copy, resell, republish or redistribute its content, or try to remove the app’s protections, without our written permission.

Ownership

The app’s text, cases, questions, design and code are our work, written in our own words. Clinical guidelines it summarises remain the property of their publishers, and are credited on each card. If you believe something in the app infringes your rights, email us and we’ll act on it promptly.

Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from using or relying on it, including clinical decisions or examination outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law that can’t be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the app means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.

For questions or corrections, use the contact details on the Intern Helper website.
